About Us

This collection is inspired by our
grandmother, Lily Blanche.

Born in the early 1900s, her life was
extraordinary. At a young age she travelled for
six weeks – with four small children – to join
her husband in India. She witnessed the last
days of the Raj and the rise of Gandhi before
returning to Britain in the 1930s.

We have fond memories of visiting her in her croft on the Isle of Skye. Lily Blanche was a highly creative person, and a wonderful cook and dressmaker. As children we rummaged through her jewellery, amazed at the beautiful and exotic pieces. Now, many years later, we’ve taken vintage designs inspired by her jewel box and given them a modern twist by combining them with outstanding 21st century design.

Our nomination as Scottish Jewellery and Accessories Designer of the Year at the prestigious Scottish Fashion Awards in association with VOGUE.COM, alongside Christopher Kane and Jonathon Saunders, was a huge accolade and the first indication of the success this collection would become.

Our jewellery is imbued with meaning and, while it harks back to a more glamorous, romantic age, it has a contemporary feel. In LILY BLANCHE the aesthetic of Audrey Hepburn meets the spirit of  Lady Gaga.
