Apr 3 2020. Coronavirus/ Covid-19 Update. The safety and health of our customers and team is our absolute priority. We will not compromise this in any way. We are now working remotely from multiple locations, with one staff member per location. All of our delivery is contactless delivery. The current guideline from the government, following the Prime Minister's statement, is below. The key message to online businesses from government is:
"Online retail is still open and encouraged and postal and delivery service will run as normal"
The thinking is that if customers can continue to receive goods via the postal service, it will cut down the number of trips they have to make outdoors and make lockdown more sustainable. (Click on the Guidance below for the full document).
We currently have good stock levels and can deliver. This may change and we will keep you updated daily. Our founder, Gillian Crawford, is a founder/ director of the Institute of Ecommerce and works closely with government to help develop ecommerce business in Scotland. She is in touch with advisers and experts daily.
We have put rigorous safety measures in place at the Lily Blanche studio to ensure the safety of our teams and our customers. All of the team is now working remotely, with one person in the studio. Because we manufacture, fill and engrave our own jewellery, we can be assured that no third parties are handling our products. For the time being we are not accepting any visitors to the studio.
Your jewellery is handled by one person who makes, fills and engraves your locket. White cotton jewellers' gloves are worn to pack your order.
We use only Royal Mail to ship your products and we use their tracked and signed services to keep your packages secure. We have an online business account with Royal Mail which means we pay for our shipping remotely and place the finished package in a mail sack which is secured shut and delivered using Royal Mail's no contact policy. Your postman will no longer ask you to sign for these parcels or touch the handheld console. Your postman will do this for you. But you can rest assured the service is still as secure. It may take a day or two longer to get your item to you so please be a little patient with us. We will keep you updated if anything changes.
