We’ve long admired blogger and mother of five, Laura Dove from the Five Little Doves blog. Laura has done so much to promote understanding around the subject of baby loss following the loss her newborn Joseph, her second child. It was a privilege to work on Laura’s locket, bringing all her children together in one special piece of jewellery. Read her review of her locket below. Shop Laura's Locket here
I felt incredibly emotional seeing it for the first time knowing my children were all together held close to my heart”.
“Despite my best efforts over the years I have never found a locket to hold all five of my children. It is impossible for me to take just one photograph with all five of my children together, so that sense of loss has always been amplified with personalised photographic jewellery.
To know that my Memory Keeper Locket holds my favourite photo of each of my children, and our family photo with my husband Gaz too, means so much to me. I felt incredibly emotional seeing it for the first time knowing my children were all together held close to my heart”
For me, knowing that those words are hidden away inside my locket is a real comfort.
On the back of the locket you can have a personalised message engraved and I chose “Somewhere over the rainbow”, the words of the song we played at Joseph’s funeral, the memory of the rainbow babies that followed, and the reminder that dreams do come true. For me, knowing that those words are hidden away inside my locket is a real comfort.
Perfectly protected, complete with a ribbon tied gift box and gift bag, the most astonishing thing for me was just how incredible the packaging smelled! I have never known anyone go to such efforts to ensure that the unboxing process was so luxurious, so elegant, and so wonderfully exciting. It felt as though I was unboxing real treasure and, when I finally saw the Memory Keeper Locket for the first time, I knew it was just that.
It’s impossible to show in photographs just how beautifully intricate the locket itself is, crafted to perfection, it is pure genius and unlike anything I have ever seen before.
My girls are absolutely fascinated by my Memory Keeper Locket and I love the idea that one day, it will belong to them, and in time perhaps passed down to their child, and then their child, and so on. It really is the most beautiful gift and with Mother’s Day around the corner I can’t think of a better way to display and treasure your memories than this”. Laura Dove, Five Little Doves
